    obama will bankrupt …
obama will bankrupt the coal industry before its able to implement clean technology. no way coal will be able to pay the fine for operations. do your research! mccain/obama 08. dickhead and head isn’t the choice we need to be considering. both mccain and obama will kill and intrude on cultures that we have no place in interfering. we can create trade with the world without trying to control it. obama is no change and mccain is maverick! if you vote for dem/rep you pull the trigger.

    The main problem …
The main problem with Picken’s Plan is the lack of natural gas refueling stations for vehicles. I worked for a natural gas distributor and all of our vehicles operated on natural gas and even we had a problem finding stations to fill up!

  3. mikeysps Says:

    Obama wants clean …
Obama wants clean coal technology. Coming from Ohio and West Virginia, caol capital of the U.S., we are aware of the truth, not McCain’s lies!

  4. WorkerforWellstone Says:

You are a evil old …
You are a evil old man,you paid for the swift boaters, and Sarah came to your office,to get her 30 pieces of silver.I was wondering,do you spit out your window,as you drive past, and over JFKs shed blood,in downtown Dallas.

  5. Pvic Says:

    50% is coal, and …
50% is coal, and Obama wants the coal industry to go bankrupt… hmmmmmmmmmm

  6. artgoat Says:

    Surface rights have …
Surface rights have nothing to do with mineral rights, which includes water. His investment in the aquifer will exist whether or not there are windmills above it, and acquisition of easements (which is NOT ownership) will not confer water rights. Your comment is meaningless.

  7. MoBushin04 Says:

Where can we see on …
Where can we see on one page:

    Current Windmills generation (or load)
    Windmills in maintenance
    Total Windmills in fleet
Total revenue to date - wholesale
Total revenue to date - customer cost/mwh
Cost of Windmills - original + ongoing maintenance

    Great plan Mr. …
Great plan Mr. Pickens. But, lets also talk about your recent 100 million dollar investment in the Ogallala aquifer, which is in the exact zone you wish to build wind farms. Mr. Pickens will own 3.3 billion acres of underground fresh water to pipe line it for a water monopoly. But yes, America does need this Pickens Plan, but not Mr. Pickens owning our fresh water.

  9. morelltechyahoocom Says:

    I thought that was …
I thought that was ironic as well. Iran converts to natural gas while the US goes to war for Iraqi oil. While in the mean time Tax payers pay for the War, while Halliburton moves their main office to Dubai and Diverts that oil wealth to their new offshore account.

  10. quirose Says:

We can fix a lot of …
We can fix a lot of these problems, but politics get in the way.

  11. Fockersnextdoor Says:

    wind combined with …
wind combined with a negative population growth just might fix the problem in 30 years, But we are doomed because Al Gore and the global warming crowd will never admit this is the only way.

  12. DJ80s Says:

    I’m reminded of the …
I’m reminded of the torch/welding and fork lift tanks that say if droped could shoot like a missle and explode. Not only that, but have you ever been around a fork lift that runs on natural gas all day long? Those things STINK! Literally. They smell rotton eggs.

  13. emforty2 Says:

    the solution then …
the solution then is to get rid of the car and build a BIGGER CAR !!

A RAIL CAR yes a much BIGGER CAR..commonly known as a TRAIN !! or PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

the CAR is the problem as natural gas and electricity will SOON GO UP IN PRICE ! thats the capiitalist WAY !!

  14. Fockersnextdoor Says:

    “Natural gas is …
“Natural gas is less volitale than gasoline.” both are flammible but I think with compressed Natural Gas you have a much larger Bomb if sparked, I think Natural gas has a lower temprature flash point than gasoline.

  15. cgill75 Says:

    Ironicly Iran has …
Ironicly Iran has converted some 60-70% of their vehicles to natural gas. If they can do it I know we can…right?

  16. setser23 Says:

    Natural gas is less …
Natural gas is less volitale than gasoline.

  17. Fockersnextdoor Says:

    I don’t like the …
I don’t like the idea of Natural gas in cars because of the potential for explosions during a crash, But if the N.Gas is used to charge electric cars then not a problem.also the USA needs a large,straight(20 lane)Autobahn from coast to coast to help reduce flights, expensive but worth it over the long term.

  18. InTheWorksFilmCo Says:

    I wouldn’t say he’s …
I wouldn’t say he’s only in it for himself. Take a look at his website. He’s actually for a better America. Sure he’s got a lot invested but he’s probably not going to benefit much from it due to his age. He’s actually trying to make a better tomorrow for the next generation.

  19. cdltpx Says:

WE need to save at …
WE need to save at every turn. If we would build concrete dome homes and use solar just to heat the water we could cut our current energy use by about 50% it would cost less than a traditional home and the home would be fire resistant, withstand 300mph winds, the benefits are endless look into this type of construction. Due to this unpopular type home I can’t get a loan they claim if I default thy will be stuck with the home and will not approve a loan. Quick construction method saves money too.

  20. josetjack Says:

    Cool. I guess we …
Cool. I guess we can agree to disagree. Here is a link to James Woolsey (ex -CIA director) opinion on the Pickens plan (watch?v=a-xKMUo5D9E) Take care. Back peddler, Good one. haha.

  21. autoguydotcom Says:

    In difficult …
In difficult economic times, citizens will not be buying new vehicles, nor paying multiple thousands of dollars for pie in the sky CNG conversions. A disillusioned old fool wants to replace a limited fossil fuel resource with another one. And, of course, a large corporate conglomerate, including his, will be the only monopolized source available.

It was not nice talking to you, backpedaler.

  22. autoguydotcom Says:

    We need “feasible …
We need “feasible today”, not “somewhat plausible in decades”. Anyone who understands the natural gas debacle from the mid 90s to the early 00s also understands that the volume of CNG usage being suggested cannot be maintained. Once the demand is created, Pickens and his henchmen will be unable to provide the demand in an economical fashion. NG prices will skyrocket. It is shameful that this man is holding out this false hope as he uses his wealth to manipulate the media to his advantage.

  23. usnneversail Says:

    No, you can’t put a …
No, you can’t put a price on wind, however, the power companies get a free energy producing source & charge us pkh. How great is that for those greedy companies? And with a total profit resource, they can pay off their price of conversion or building this new energy option & the rest can line their pockets. I don’t have a problem with that. Heck if I was rich & famouse instead of broke & notorious, I’d shell out the $ myself & make my millions!!!!LOL

  24. Bahrainium Says:

    Nice, video, good …
Nice, video, good plan. Unfortunately instead of jump starting this plan immediately we must put it on hold and give Wallstreet thieves $700 billion so they can fill up their foreign made cars and american made SUV’s with gas. Instead of supporting Mr. Pickens plan lets bailout Detroit car manufacturers instead, what do you say people?

  25. cbrucker Says:

    Good questions, all …
Good questions, all! I think the big push of the plan is more oriented toward commercial applications…municipal/utility and transport fleets, replacing mainly diesel applications. Diesel and kerosene are amongst the largest refined fractions of a barrel of oil, whereas gasoline(s) are like 10-15% of the fractional crack on a barrel. On retro-fitting your car….how long have you had it? It’s going to be 5-10 years before we get to the point of having CNG cars and gas stations. New Car by then?
